Japan is a beautiful country and known as a world tourist destination. One of the best tourist attractions in Japan is Ao No Dokutsu, the blue tunnel in Shibuya Japan.

Actually, the blue tunnel at Shibuya is just an illumination. But the tunnel is designed with modern technology that makes the face of Shibuya city look very glamorous and attract many tourists to come and visit.

Just for information, for Last year alone, the number of tourists in Shibuya reached up to 2.4 million people.

Ao no dokutsu events

Blue lights are installed along Shibuya Park Road and the row of Keyaki trees in Yoyogi Park. This illumination event runs from December 22 to 31, 2017.

In 2014, Ao no Dokutsu event was held at Nakameguro city, the location was just moved to Shibuya last year. The show is always festive every year. For this year alone, it is estimated there are about 600,000 blue lights that will decorate the face of Shibuya City in Japan.

Event Information:

Location: Shibuya park to Yoyogi park (It’s about 800m).
Access: Walk from Shibuya station (JR, Tokyo Metro, Keio Inikashira Line and Tokyu Line).
Other Access: Harajuku JR Line Station, Meiji-Jingu Mae Station, Yoyogi-Koen Station, Yoyogi Hachiman Odakyu Line Station.
Schedule: November 22 – December 31, 2017.
Hours: 17:00 to 22:00 (Light-up time may change daily.
